ISACA is the main professional body for IT auditors, providing the industry standard CISA qualification.
The association produces a respected (if slightly dull) journal, and provides global networking and professional development opportunities for its members. It also administers a growing number of qualifications.
Until recently it had one of the most tired web sites around, but now has an excellent new one at www.isaca.org, that adds online networking and resources to the list of member benefits.
