CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)

The Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) qualification is provided by ISACA. It is a certification for IT Auditors, balanced between technical IT knowledge and business understanding. It requires completion of a 4-hour exams covering the information systems audit process, IT governance, systems and infrastructure lifecycle management, IT service delivery and support, protection of information assets, and business continuity and disaster recovery. It also requires five years relevant experience in an IT audit role. Holders use the post-nominal letters ‘CISA’, and the holder’s status can be verified on ISACA’s web site.
